Our factory is currently facing a problem: due to the insufficient capacity of the chiller system, the pressure of the chilled water inlet is too high. It is preliminarily determined that there is a blockage in the evaporator of the chiller system. Since the chilled water uses ethylene glycol as a refrigerant at a concentration of around 30%, and no corrosion inhibitors or scale inhibitors were added in the initial stage, the chilled water contains a large amount of rust, which causes blockages once it enters the evaporator of the ice machine. The evaporator of the chiller is a tubular heat exchanger (horizontal type); Freon flows through the tube side, while chilled water flows through the shell side. After removing the inlet and outlet ports on the shell side, it was found that there was a large amount of rust attached to the copper tubes in the visible areas; the condition in the areas that are not visible is unknown, but it may be even worse. I’m asking if anyone has good methods for dealing with rust and scale in the shell side, and how exactly to do it? Help.
Rust can be removed by washing or soaking it in dilute hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid
Call 13034516699; he is a manufacturer of industrial cleaning agents and has specialized products for rust removal that can help you.
Online cleaning is currently being carried out using ATMP; we will assess the situation after the cleaning is complete
Starting from the fundamentals, improving water quality combined with scale inhibition mechanisms can lead to effective prevention. Contact me on WeChat: dengjun122927
Cleaning the pipeline is sufficient; a chemical cleaning method can be used. Add acid and corrosion inhibitor, then circulate.
