Trench drainage

For outdoor ethanol pipelines laid in trenches filled with fine sand, is it necessary to provide drainage for these trenches? How should drainage be considered? Thank you! In my opinion, drainage is needed.
I personally think drainage is also necessary, but I’m not quite sure about how to achieve it; I don’t understand design
