Both round-hole and tube arrays can be designed as falling-film evaporators. Difference: Round block holes are resistant to impact and vibration. Shell-and-tube falling-film evaporators have certain requirements for graphite heat exchange tubes. The heat transfer efficiency is slightly better than that of the circular block pore type.
