Is it okay to continue using a safety valve that returns to its original position automatically after triggering, without sending it for inspection?
This is not allowed. Over the past twenty-odd years, our safety valves have triggered quite frequently (initially many times, but less and less over time), and there has never been a case where the pressure was not reset in a timely manner.

Under normal circumstances, an inspection is carried out once a year. In the situation you described, whether an inspection is needed after a certain action depends on whether the seal is good after reset; if there is no leakage, then no inspection is necessary. If the seal is poor after it returns to its original position, then re-calibration is required. If the safety valve operates frequently, it requires close attention: if there are no issues with the process, it is usually a problem with the safety valve itself, and it needs to be recalibrated ；
It’s not needed. Under normal circumstances, annual inspections are carried out; in some factories, the important high-pressure safety valves are manually activated once per quarter or every six months to ensure that they are in good condition.
There is no need for a regular inspection after the safety valve has activated; otherwise, the advantage of continuous operation over rupture discs is lost. Honestly, there’s really no need for it
