I have a question for the experts. How is the fire-fighting water volume calculated for bottled liquefied petroleum gas supply stations (stores located near users)? I couldn’t find any exact information in either the Building Code or the Fire Protection Code. If we consider it as a Class A warehouse, then municipal fire water supply cannot be relied on; therefore, a fire water tank would need to be built... Sometimes it’s just some type of III-level supply station with gas cylinders, where only a few dozen 15kg cylinders are sold per day during off-peak times. This setup is meant to facilitate residents in the community to obtain gas on their own, and older communities may not even have fire water tanks available. Thank you!

For situations not covered by the regulations, one can refer to similar or related regulatory provisions, or consult the local regulatory authorities. If it meets the management standards for Class A warehouses, then your building is likely not to meet the requirements either. The volume of sales isn’t high to begin with; either reduce the inventory or avoid keeping stock in densely populated areas, as this creates too many uncertainties and poses too great a risk.
