S32168 welding process

I don’t have any welding procedure data for A132 rods; I plan to use the data for A022 rods instead. Should I change the technical specifications in the drawings to specify the use of A022 rods? Can we just use A132 welding rod without conducting further process evaluation? Thank you

No way! Doing this carries great risks!
Welding procedure qualification involves a comprehensive consideration of factors such as pipes, welding materials, welding methods, and the welding environment; it requires carrying out numerous tests and inspections, so it is not a simple task. To ensure quality, it is essential to follow the welding procedure qualification properly, prepare welding operation instructions, and then carry out the welding process, as many defects or imperfections are not visible to the naked eye nor do they appear immediately after welding!
It is possible to use A132 welding rods directly; the welding procedure qualification using A022 can cover A132 as well, so there is no need to change the technical requirements specified in the drawings to use A022 welding rods.
