Selection of flow meters for flow from the tank area to the unit or from the unit to the tank area (for internal measurement): Are there many options for mass flow meters? Their cost must be too high. Vortex flow meters and target flow meters – do they not provide sufficient accuracy?
If metering is to be used, a mass flow meter is recommended. The general accuracy class requirements for flowmeters are not met.
Would it be better if the original poster explained other operating conditions such as the medium, temperature, pressure, pipe diameter, etc., so that the experts here can assess them and provide a response? If there are precision requirements, do they also need to be specified?
If precision is required, use a mass flow meter; it’s more expensive but can make use of a constriction.
Check whether a positive-displacement flow meter can be used for the medium
For internal metering and metering between devices, grade B is sufficient.
