Everyone: Why do children have such strong imaginations?
As time passes and one gains more experience, they come to receive more information. Gradually, a certain way of thinking is formed, and most things outside of that experience are treated as risks.
The less you know, the more room there is for imagination, right?
Without fixed patterns to constrain it, the mind becomes open...
Seeing this reminds me of the so-called sprint speed issue from before. At that time, Asians could not outrun Africans; there was a speed limit that could not be surpassed. Then various experts step forward and write articles claiming that, due to systemic constraints or something similar, if this limit is exceeded, the bones of Asians cannot withstand it. As a result, it wasn’t long before the first person of Asian descent surpassed this speed limit, and then more and more people did the same.
It’s hard to achieve 100% accuracy in anything; I’m not saying that when comparing a few adults and children at random, children will necessarily have higher levels of imagination than adults. I just want to say that, in general, if people cannot break free from everyday trivialities and seek only short-term convenience, they are very likely to lack a rich imagination. Only by reflecting on past experiences and elevating them can adults create truly remarkable works; after all, science fiction movies and literature, as well as groundbreaking theories and achievements, were not created in kindergarten. In most cases, exam-oriented education produces one type of person, rather than all kinds of people.
