Precautions for the safe operation of belt conveyors: 1 When multiple belt conveyors are used together to transport materials or carry out certain processing steps, a central control panel should be installed for unified control. The operation of the 2-conveyor belt transmission system must ensure proper driving performance and accurate, reliable operation; in emergency situations, it should be possible to cut off the power supply promptly to achieve a safe shutdown. 3. The belt conveyor’s control panel must be equipped with acoustic and visual signals to accurately indicate the start and stop status of each unit, as well as the operation status of the emergency stop switches, in order to ensure precise control. 4 In belt conveyors, the belt conveyors should be started one by one in the opposite direction to the material flow. Shut down each machine sequentially in sequence with the direction of the material flow. As long as overflow is prevented, simultaneous starting or braking is also allowed. 5 It is necessary to interlock the equipment in the belt conveyor. When a conveyor belt in that system stops operating due to a defect, the conveyor belts upstream of it should also stop immediately. Interlock devices prevent arbitrary changes or cancellations. 6 On belt conveyors, or those used in areas with narrow and confined passages, emergency pull-cord switches should be installed along their length.

A system for confirming prior to startup and shutdown must be established and strictly implemented.
