Shut down each machine sequentially in sequence with the direction of the material flow. As long as overflow is prevented, simultaneous starting or braking is also allowed. 5 It is necessary to interlock the equipment in the belt conveyor. When a conveyor belt in that system stops operating due to a defect, the conveyor belts upstream of it should also stop immediately. Interlock devices prevent arbitrary changes or cancellations. 6 On belt conveyors, or those used in areas with narrow and confined passages, emergency pull-cord switches should be installed along their length.
