Sharing of Occupational Health and Safety Experiences-01: A new activity for sharing occupational health and safety experiences has been established, with me providing a summary every two weeks. Based on personal experiences, as well as what one has seen or heard regarding occupational health, practices, accidents, incidents, unsafe behaviors, and unsafe conditions are summarized and presented within a certain scope, in order to enhance awareness and skills in self-protection and risk prevention, thereby minimizing the risk of injury. Everyone can express their own opinions or share examples.
Here’s a case of getting injured while \"switching tasks\" at work.
Wu was a hired worker at a certain instrumentation company, working in the oil gauge inspection section of that company’s manufacturing facility; he was paid on a piece-rate basis. On February 28 of this year, while at work, Wu saw that there was a shortage of staff in the riveting position within his team, which affected the workflow in his own position; so he went to help. During this process, he injured his right hand due to improper operation, resulting in a disability. 1. Do not move to another workstation without approval while at work. 2. Follow the operating procedures strictly. 3. Comply with the workplace management regulations

Whether there is supervision or not, protection measures must be strictly followed as per the regulations.

Occupational Health Standards of the People’s Republic of China GBZ188-2007 \"Technical Specifications for Occupational Health Surveillance\": 3.1 Occupational health surveillance refers to a practice aimed at prevention; it involves continuously monitoring the health status of workers based on their occupational exposure history, through regular or irregular medical examinations and the collection of health-related data. It also entails analyzing the relationship between changes in workers’ health and the occupational hazards they are exposed to, and promptly reporting the results of these examinations and analyses to both the employer and the workers themselves, so that appropriate intervention measures can be taken in a timely manner to protect their health. Occupational health surveillance mainly includes occupational health examinations and the management of occupational health surveillance records, among other things. Occupational health examinations include pre-employment, during-employment, post-employment medical follow-ups as well as emergency health checks. II. Occupational Health Standards of the People’s Republic of China GBZ/T 225—2010 “Guidelines for Employers on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases”: The text does not contain a separate definition of “occupational health”; however, there are definitions for “occupational health monitoring”, “occupational health examinations”, and “occupational health records”. III. Order No. 23 of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China: “Regulations on the Management of Occupational Health Surveillance”: Article 2 The occupational health surveillance referred to in these regulations mainly includes occupational health examinations and the management of occupational health surveillance records. Occupational health examinations include pre-employment, during-employment, post-employment, and emergency health checks. Article 3 Employers shall establish and improve occupational health surveillance systems to ensure the implementation of such surveillance work. Article 4 Employers shall organize occupational health examinations for workers engaged in work involving exposure to occupational disease hazards. IV. Throughout the entire text of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, the term “occupational health” appears 21 times; there are mentions of “awareness of occupational health,” “occupational health risks,” “occupational health examinations,” and “occupational health surveillance,” but there is no separate usage of the term “occupational health” alone.
