Can atmospheric-pressure diesel be used directly in diesel engines? What are the hazards?
At atmospheric pressure, diesel fails to meet many specifications – such as sulfur content, cold filter point, corrosivity, boiling range, etc. – and it needs further processing and blending before it can be used
Changchai engines have good quality; the same was true for smaller refineries in the past. However, quality standards are getting higher these days, so it’s best to have them tested before using them

What’s the point of looking? It’s already quite good that tractors in rural areas can use diesel at normal pressure. When I was a child, the diesel used in the tractors in my hometown was similar in color to soy sauce, yet the tractors still ran just fine.
