The medium heated by the reboiler returns to the tower; is the inlet to the tower above or below the liquid level? Why?
It must be above the liquid surface; take a close look at the processes related to the distillation tower
Yes, it makes no sense for the vapor phase to enter the liquid phase above the liquid surface; it should simply rise and come into contact with the liquid phase that is moving downward
I have never seen a reboiler return line below the liquid level. The circulation in the reboiler relies on the difference between the product of the liquid column height and density; its return lines consist of a gas-liquid mixture, which requires gas-liquid separation after returning to the tower.
