Is it reasonable for the safety valves on top of many oil tanks (such as gasoline sedimentation tanks) to be equipped with front and rear isolation valves? If the valves before and after the safety valve are closed for some reason and it is forgotten to open them, then the safety valve will no longer function.
It should comply with the process design and safety valve piping standards; for gases that cannot be discharged directly to the atmosphere, there are shut-off valves at both the inlet and outlet sides, for use in safety valve calibration
If there is no shut-off valve, how should the safety valve be tested in that case?
What if one forgets to open the shut-off valve? Are there any good solutions? In the liquid ammonia pipelines I’ve encountered before, the safety valve discharge lines led to the vent tank, and only a front shut-off valve was installed there
Lock it up; once it starts working, it can’t be moved. The safety valve needs to be checked once a year.
