Regarding FAT for rotating equipment

For rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors, what tests are included in the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)? Is it the pre-shipment inspection part in ITP? Does FAT also handle performance tests, mechanical operation tests, and hydraulic pressure tests? Thank you!
I remember that centrifugal compressors undergo mechanical operation tests, performance tests, and airtightness tests in the factory; for specific details, you can refer to API617 to see if there are any standards governing these factory tests.
The API standards include requirements for inspection and testing, but I would like to know whether FAT refers to the various inspection and testing procedures described in the standards.
Some of my views on FAT: The manufacturer should do a good job; you go and check for any issues, note down the items that need to be corrected, then the supplier makes the necessary adjustments before shipping. Regarding the inspection items specified in MRP, some only require a report to be issued, while others require on-site supervision. This includes mechanical operation, performance testing, noise, vibration, appearance, dimensions, etc. The complete system also takes into account consistency with the process diagrams and P&IDs, as well as issues related to the system interface. Every possible issue is identified to ensure that construction is carried out in accordance with the plans. For the issues identified during OPI, construction, MC, and MA, on-site rectification can only be arranged, which is rather troublesome and may also delay the project timeline.
