How should the fire category of a tank containing 20% ammonia be defined? Should it be classified as Category B or Category E? How should I think about this? I seek guidance from experts.

According to the 2015 version of the hazard classification table for hazardous chemicals, the hazard categories for liquid ammonia and ammonia solutions are as follows: Liquid ammonia – Hazard categories: Flammable gas, Category 2; Pressurized gas; Acute toxicity – inhalation, Category 3*; Skin corrosion/irritation, Category 1B; Severe eye damage/eye irritation, Category 1; Hazard to aquatic life – acute hazard, Category 1. Ammonia solution – Hazard categories: Skin corrosion/irritation, Category 1B; Severe eye damage/eye irritation, Category 1; Specific target organ toxicity – single exposure, Category 3 (respiratory irritation); Hazard to aquatic life – acute hazard, Category 1. Therefore, 20% ammonia solution is considered only a corrosive substance, and its fire classification is Category V.
