Our factory has an incinerator, and we’re not sure whether to open the inlet valve first or the outlet valve first when starting it up
When starting the blower, first close the inlet damper, slightly open the blower outlet valve, and then start the motor; after the blower is up and running, gradually open the inlet and outlet. What is taken into account are the starting current and load issues.
The centrifugal fan is started with the inlet valve closed for venting, and the outlet valve open.
Start the induced draft fan first, then the blower; there are no special requirements for the air dampers, as they are generally not opened fully. From the perspective of protecting the equipment, it’s certainly better to keep the opening at a lower level, but in practice, many manual dampers are not easy to adjust.
