Jingmen Petrochemical Turns \"Three Types of Sludge\" into Valuable Resources 2016-12-12 Source: Petrochemical News. According to China Petrochemical News Network (Kong Zhengzhen, Liu Ronghua), the scum separated from drainage systems, activated sludge, and bottom sludge – commonly known as \"three types of sludge\" – do not meet the basic requirements for fuel in CFB boilers in terms of humidity, viscosity, and quality. However, since the beginning of this year, Jingmen Petrochemical has addressed the challenges related to the stickiness, wetness, and transportation of these \"three types of sludge\", and by mixing them with coal and transporting the resulting mixture to the coal silo, it has turned them into a new type of fuel for CFB boilers. In the dehydration and drying process of the \"three types of sludge,\" Jingmen Petrochemical ensures the proper operation of the screw press machines and sludge drying equipment, while striving to reduce the moisture content of the dried sludge sent to the dry coal storage area to 30%. During the drying and mixing stages, Jingmen Petrochemical uses drying, a first mixing at a ratio of 1:4, and a second mixing at a ratio of 1:10 to evenly combine the \"three types of sludge\" with coal, ensuring that the \"new type of fuel\" does not stick to the equipment and can pass smoothly through the coal feeder into the furnace. “During the combustion process of the \"Sanni\" unit, Jingmen Petrochemical monitors in real time parameters such as the combustion, slag discharge, and flue gas emission of the CFB boiler, to ensure the proper operation of the combustion, desulfurization, and slag disposal systems as well as the compliance of flue gas emissions with regulatory standards. To date, Jingmen Petrochemical has blended in 4,377 tons of these three types of sludge, saving approximately 8.754 million yuan and achieving both environmental benefits and economic gains.
Well, with this issue, burning also involves burning organic matter and turning it into powder, which means saving the need for separate burning
