I’m hoping some experts can help come up with some ideas. A client for a project is asking us to suggest ways of adding silica dioxide (nanoscale silica) to their processes. They currently use manual methods for adding this substance, and as a result, there’s a lot of dust in the workshop. Are there any examples of situations where a very clean method was used? I’m seeking advice! ! !
Negative pressure transportation is a cleaner method; normal pressure and pressurized conditions inevitably lead to leaks. A screw conveyor could also be considered.
Negative pressure transportation was considered, as were diaphragm pumps. However, because substances like silica are so fine, they combine with air during transportation and form bubbles; these bubbles still end up in the tank, causing problems for the vacuum system. Additionally, the feeding speed is relatively slow. Are there any other ways?

I’ve thought about this too, but fumed silica is too clear; when it’s introduced, it mixes with the gas. 200 kg of it might occupy one or two cubic meters of volume, which could block the tank in a short time, and it’s also difficult to filter out the gas afterward
How much should be invested? What other requirements are there besides dust prevention? Is it possible to install a ton bag unloading station on the reactor tank so that materials can be fed into it by gravity?

Where is there a lot of dust? The ton bag unloading station can be equipped with a dust collector, creating a slight negative pressure inside so that the powder does not escape outside, resulting in virtually no dust pollution.
