Now it is necessary to design a bedroom condenser. Now that the parameters such as inlet and outlet temperatures and flow rates are known, some of them were provided by the customer while others were calculated by me. The problem now is. 1. The heat exchange area needs to be divided into sections: the cooling of steam, the condensation of steam, and the cooling of the condensed water. I have now made a preliminary estimate and designed the geometric parameters initially. Next, calculating the heat transfer coefficient based on the geometric parameters – is this correct? 2. When calculating the heat transfer coefficient, the wall temperature is often required; I assume a value for this temperature – how should it be calculated? When calculating in three segments, is it necessary to assume the wall temperatures of the three segments? 3. For the heat transfer coefficient in the condensation section, I used the formula for film condensation outside horizontal circular tubes in my calculations – is this correct? 4. After calculating using the steps above, does the sum of the heat exchange areas of the three sections equal the heat exchange area of the entire device?
To calculate the heat exchange area, it is necessary to know the inlet and outlet temperatures for each section; relevant information and formulas for wall temperature calculation can be found in Appendix B of GB/T151

I recommend books such as \"Process Calculation Manual for Heat Exchangers\" by Liu Wei and others; following the calculations in those books, I have calculated for condensers used with steam and cooling water. After verification using EDR, everything else was fine, but the shell-side pressure drop was lower according to EDR
