Seven common faults of electromagnetic flowmeter controllers and their troubleshooting methods are listed below: ① The air pressure is normal, but air continues to leak out from the vent holes D or D of the pressure controller. The valve diaphragm does not fit tightly against the release valve, creating a gap that allows air to leak; the diaphragm spring is damaged or ineffective and cannot press the valve diaphragm firmly in place. Check the sealing condition of the valve diaphragm and the release valve; replace them with new parts if damaged, and replace the diaphragm spring as well. ②After the air compressor stops pumping air, vents D or C do not release air, but the air pressure drops rapidly. The intake check valve leaks due to aging, damage, or poor sealing; the spring of the intake check valve is damaged and becomes ineffective. Inspect the intake check valve and its seal; if damaged, replace it with a new one; also replace the spring of the intake check valve. ③When releasing air, the pressure is higher than 0.70 Mpa; the adjustment screw is too tight, the compression amount of the diaphragm spring is excessive, resulting in too high a discharge pressure at the valve diaphragm. The electromagnetic flowmeter loosens the adjustment screw slightly to reduce the compression amount of the diaphragm spring. ④The air pressure is above 0.70 Mpa and continues to rise, but air does not escape through vents D or C – the drum diaphragm spring is stuck; the pores in the exhaust valve are blocked; the spring of the exhaust check valve is stuck; and the valve stem is stuck as well. Replace the tympanic membrane spring; clear the orifices on the vent valve; replace the vent check valve spring; grind or replace the valve stem. ⑤There is air leakage between the upper and lower casings; bubbles are produced when washing powder solution is applied. The upper and lower housing castings are defective; the sealing ring between the upper and lower housings is damaged or the fastening bolts are loose; the valve diaphragm has aged, allowing air to leak from the adjustment screw. Wipe clean the surface of the housing and repair any defects with metal filler; replace the sealing ring or tightening bolts; replace the valve diaphragm. ⑥The air pressure is less than 0.65 Mpa and continues to drop, but gas keeps being discharged from the vent hole D of the pressure controller. The valve diaphragm, diaphragm spring, or release valve is damaged, resulting in a loss of sealing; vent hole C is blocked; the vent check valve leaks; the spring of the vent check valve fails due to wear; the rubber seal ages and causes leakage. Check the sealing condition of the valve diaphragm, diaphragm spring, or vent valve; if damaged, replace them with new parts to clear vent hole C; replace the vent check valve; replace the vent check valve spring; replace the rubber gasket. ⑦When releasing air, the pressure is below 0.65 Mpa; this is due to an overly loose adjustment screw, a low discharge pressure of the valve diaphragm, or leakage caused by aging of the discharge valve. Screw the adjustment screw of the electromagnetic flowmeter in slightly; replace the vent valve.
