The reading of the vortex flow meter fluctuates greatly; how can it be stabilized?
First, check if the operating conditions are stable, and also set the damping time to a higher value.
If the vortex flow meter shows large fluctuations in flow rate, the problem should first be sought upstream. Within the normal flow range, if it is confirmed that the process flow rate is stable, then it is likely a problem with the flow meter itself. If the process flow fluctuates significantly and the process cannot resolve this issue fundamentally, one can try the method described on floor 2 to set a damping time; however, this damping time should not be too long (it should be chosen based on the conditions of the process), otherwise it may lead to a series of problems and even pose a safety risk. Additionally, when no medium is flowing and the flow meter still shows fluctuating readings, it is necessary to fix the installation to eliminate vibrations and adjust the cutoff point for low flows accordingly.
Check whether the installation meets the requirements and whether there are sufficient straight sections at the front and back. Is there vibration?

It is recommended to check whether the flow meter, flanges, and pipes are all aligned on the center line of the pipeline; also verify that there are sufficient straight sections before and after them, and that the installation location meets the requirements. Additionally, examine whether the pressure and flow rate of the medium are stable, or whether there are vibration sources in the vicinity that could cause mechanical vibrations in the pipeline.
