If a sulfur preheating boiler is in use for a long time, scale will form on it. How can the problem of scale accumulation in such boilers be addressed? If the equipment is under maintenance, how should scale buildup in the remaining boiler be dealt with?
To ensure that the chemical dosing process operates properly and scaling does not occur, attention must be paid to the procedures involved. I really don’t have any experience with how to divide; I’m seeking advice too.
How long has it been running? What kind of water is being used? How many kilograms of steam are produced? Is chemical dosing being carried out?
Which side is scaling? Is it the tube side or the shell side?
Let me correct a misconception among everyone: even if you strictly control the addition of chemicals in order to maintain the quality of the boiler water and steam, scaling will still occur; it’s just a matter of time! If you can control it, do it later; if not, do it earlier! Therefore, everyone should not overlook the quality aspects related to boilers; as for sulfur, these are the quality control measures involved. Sustained operation is necessary for the device to function over a long period of time; if it gets blocked, leaks, or breaks down, it’s everyone who will suffer! Additionally, after the boiler system is shut down, pickling is usually carried out to remove the scale adhered to the pipe walls.

In some cases, the gas-side of the process pipeline can also experience scaling and blockage. So, I’m not sure whether the poster is referring to the tube side or the shell side?
After entering the unit, acidic gas generally needs to pass through a liquid removal tank and a heat exchanger before reaching the reaction furnace. If the tube bundle of the reaction furnace is blocked, just imagine how dirty the feed gas must be If it’s dirty, shouldn’t the front part get clogged first?
