Low-pressure steam can be used for power generation or as a heating source; the condensate from medium-pressure steam can be flashed to produce low-pressure steam for reuse. The condensate from low-pressure steam is employed for heat tracing and as a heating source in distillation towers, thereby reducing the amount of circulating water needed in low-pressure steam condensers and achieving energy and water savings.
