When the evaluation body conducts its assessment, in addition to asking questions about the designer’s preliminary design documents, is there also a written exam?

We obtained the A1A2 Design Class III certification just before the New Year. First, their designs are reviewed, then questions are asked, and finally an exam is taken; it seems that a score of 60 is required to pass, and there were about 8 people taking the exam
It is clearly stipulated in the TSG R1001-2008 Rules for Permitting the Design of Pressure Vessels and Pressure Pipelines.
Is this referring to the TS certification? ?
It’s not exactly the same. For example, in Hebei Province, those who wish to obtain the relevant certification must first attend the training and examinations organized uniformly by the province at the design, verification, and review stages. Then, they take a theoretical exam and a presentation on the drawings; upon passing, they receive the qualification certificate for that position. During the certification review, design professionals are no longer required to take a theoretical exam.
