On the 6th floor at the site, there is a control valve used to regulate the flow rate, and the flow rate often drops automatically! By enabling bypass, the flow can be stabilized without using the control valve. However, when it is necessary to adjust the flow rate after some time, the process technicians have to climb to the sixth floor to make the adjustment. What causes this?
The problem description is not clear; I roughly understand that it’s necessary to check whether the positioner of the control valve is working properly. Switch to manual mode in the control room and set a certain opening degree to see if the control valve can maintain that level of opening
There are mainly three reasons: first, a fault with the control valve; second, a fault with the positioner; Third is a regulator failure; check and rule out each possibility one by one.....
Will bypassing allow liquids or gases that should not affect flow measurement to be discharged?
There is another possibility: how is it determined that the so-called traffic has automatically dropped? Is it viewed from the flow meter? So, what is the accuracy of that flow meter? What is the physical position of the valve when the flow rate drops?
