What is a temperature-sensitive element?

I heard it is used in conjunction with platinum resistors; those who have come into contact with it, please share your experiences.

The material used here seems to be related to temperature; for the thermocouples in our furnaces, which operate at temperatures over 1000 degrees, we use platinum-rhodium alloy, which is said to be quite expensive. We don’t pay much attention to this matter, and every time the equipment is shut down, whenever we remember to check, we find that the thermocouples have been stolen.
Can someone send a picture so I can see what it looks like?
A temperature-sensitive element generally refers to the sensing component of a bimetallic thermometer, right?
Looking at it this way, is it a digital signal?
I think it’s a metal sheet that increases the heating surface area, with a platinum resistor attached to it. This temperature-sensitive element isn’t very valuable, right? Ordinary 304 stainless steel will do.
I’ve also seen a good thermistor design in defeated countries; it’s fast indeed, but its range is narrow, so it’s not suitable for industrial use – it can be used in equipment or laboratories.
