Regarding the strength of the lifting screws on the heat exchanger tube sheet, do everyone consider it based on the total lifting weight of the entire tube bundle, or based on the weight of the tube bundle itself? What lifting plans are available as a basis for making a choice?
The size of the lifting screw is calculated by considering the friction forces between the tube bundle and the shell.

What you mentioned needs to take into account the weight of the tube sheet (of course, this should be indicated on the diagram); once the tube bundle is installed, this method cannot be used for lifting it. Manufacturers generally use slings to lift the tube bundle.
