I would like to ask: what is the difference between the material of the measuring element and that of the sealing diaphragm as indicated in the transmitter data sheet? Does the material of the measuring element come into contact with the liquid? Where is it located on the transmitter? The sealing diaphragm is definitely in contact with liquid, but the two materials listed in the data sheet are different – what’s the reason for that?
Transmitters usually indicate the material of the diaphragm and the material of the sealing components, with the diaphragm material being of higher quality than that of the sealing components. Components that come into contact with the medium under test, other than the diaphragm, are collectively referred to as connecting components.
What was said on the second floor is correct – “All components that come into contact with the medium being measured, except for the diaphragm, are considered liquid-contacting components.” It should be added that the diaphragm is very thin because it is used to transmit pressure; to prevent corrosion, it needs to be made of high-quality material. Liquid-contacting components such as flanges are thicker, so their material requirements can be relatively lower

If it is not a Flange transmitter, the measuring element is in direct contact with the liquid, and this is independent of the diaphragm material. In the case of a flanged transmitter, the element that comes into contact with the medium is the diaphragm; pressure is transmitted through substances such as silicone oil behind it. The measuring element does not come into contact with the medium, so the material of the diaphragm is different from that of the measuring element
