Those friends who provide the correct answers will receive appropriate rewards; at the same time, we hope that friends will also offer questions and answers of some value. This week’s question is — Where are eccentric butterfly valves used? (Please hide your replies)
For example, things like steam, in situations where there are high temperatures and pressures in the slurry, as well as at the discharge outlet
It is commonly used in water pipeline systems as a regulating and shutoff device.
Double-eccentric butterfly valves are primarily used in the preheating systems and dry dust removal systems of ironmaking blast furnaces, where the nominal diameter is large, the operating pressure and the pressure difference required for opening and closing are low, and the temperature is high (200–350 °C). They serve as cut-off valves for combustion air, combustion gas, as well as cut-off valves for the inlet and outlet of gas in heat exchanger systems, and for the inlet and outlet of flue gas in heat exchanger systems; they are also used as cut-off valves for gas in dry dust removal systems. Three-eccentric metal-sealed butterfly valves are generally used in the main lines and major branches of heating systems. The diameter is above DN300. Imported triple-eccentric metal-sealed butterfly valves have no directionality, but an installation direction is generally recommended; they should not be installed in the reverse orientation ; Domestic versions have a specific orientation; generally, the leakage level is one grade lower, or the pressure rating is one to two grades lower, when used in the reverse direction, and they must not be installed backwards. When welding on horizontal pipes, the valve should be closed to protect the seal ring ; When welding on a vertical pipe, the valve should be closed, and water should be poured onto the valve plate at the welding site to extinguish the weld spatter. When installing on horizontal pipes, it is recommended that the valve stem be horizontal or at a slight angle to the vertical direction, in order to maintain cleanliness at the bottom bearings.
It is mainly used in environments with high pressure and temperature, where frequent opening and closing occur
It is mainly used in media with high temperature, high pressure, and abrasive particles, as well as in industrial and mining applications where high sealing performance is required.
It is generally used in environments with high temperatures, depending specifically on the medium
Eccentric butterfly valves are divided into single-eccentric butterfly valves, double-eccentric butterfly valves, triple-eccentric butterfly valves, and variable-eccentric butterfly valves. It is generally used as a regulating and shunting device, mostly in water systems.
It is mainly used in water treatment, including in circulating water systems and sewage treatment processes. Of course, it is also used in chemical raw material pipelines, but it is less common at the inlets and outlets
It is generally used in utility systems such as circulating water, wastewater, and low-pressure steam; it is less commonly used for process materials
Our three-eccentric butterfly valves are used for switching with molecular sieves
