To install a new device, it is necessary to connect a 2-inch branch pipe to the 6-inch main pipe in the pipeline corridor; the instrument air for the device is supplied through this branch pipe. The main issue is that this main pipe is used for supplying air to various devices, and there are no connection valves available, so it is required to make an opening directly in the main pipe. If a conventional opening is made, it will be necessary to shut off the air supply, which will affect the operation of other devices; in some cases, even shutdown of those devices may be required. Is it possible to make the opening while the system is under pressure? What is approximately the cost of making such an opening along with installing valves?
