If only a start-up drain is provided for the superheated steam, is it then not necessary to have a drain pipe in that area? Install a gate valve and a steam trap directly under the collector pipe?
Typical traps are equipped with a bypass; presumably, when there is too much water, the bypass is activated first to allow water to flow out. Once all the water inside has been drained, the bypass is closed and the trap is turned on, allowing normal operation
No, a hydrophoger still needs to be added.
“\"Overheating\": In overheated equipment, water condenses only during the startup process; no water condenses during operation. In other words, the steam that generates condensate is not superheated steam, but saturated steam.
