I see 8163 on the pipeline; what is its material? Thank you! Bonus points
8163 is just a standard number, not a material code.
Check this standard to see which stainless steels correspond to carbon steel.

Pipe 8163 refers to the seamless steel pipes for fluid transport as specified in GB/T 8163; the available steel grades include 10, 20, Q295, Q345, Q420, and Q460. I remember there’s also a 8162 standard, which pertains to steel pipes for structural use; they cannot be used as steel pipes for fluid handling, in other words, they cannot be used as steel pipes for pressure pipelines.
GB/T8163 is a pipeline manufacturing standard that specifies the manufacturing conditions, tolerances, size selection criteria, and materials to be used. It does not specify particular materials; various materials can be chosen, with 20 being one of the commonly used materials#
It should be GB/T 8163-2008, that’s the standard number.
