However, based on various studies and literature, experiments on low-temperature impact resistance at different temperatures have been conducted. Referring to studies on the effect of heat treatment on the ductile-brittle transition temperature of 20 steel, the test data show that for pressure pipelines delivered in their normalized state, the cold-brittle transition temperature is around -40 degrees Celsius; below 0 degrees Celsius, the impact energy continues to decrease, with no clear defined transition point.
