Steam pipeline: design temperature of 220°C, design pressure of 1.2 MPa; dimensions 159×6; material is 20 steel; insulation thickness of 120 mm; density of 120 kg/m³. After calculations, the stiffness is insufficient for a span of 5.2 meters, with a deflection greater than 2.5 mm
Ignoring the hydrostatic pressure test should be sufficient; even if the hydrostatic pressure test is taken into account, it should still be enough
Since you’ve already calculated it, why worry? Just do what the calculation shows. If you think the standards are too strict, then don’t follow them.
