I would like to ask the experts here: does anyone know what the pressure rating codes mean for AXENS company’s heterogenization units? For example: B2-3F, A3-3R. I guess the first letter represents the code for the type of steel, while the second digit denotes the corrosion allowance. The third digit is the code for the pressure rating, and I’m not sure what the fourth digit represents. Does anyone know? Please give me some advice.
R might refer to post-weld heat treatment, but what does F mean? Excuse me, is there a more comprehensive list of pipeline grade codes?

If R stands for post-weld heat treatment, then it conflicts a bit with the code for the flange sealing surface provided above. It still hasn’t been explained upstairs what R stands for. The grade code for an axens process package should normally be five digits; however, if there is no special requirement, it does not need to be specified. Generally, post-weld heat treatment is specified in special requirements and is denoted by C. The codes you gave are all four digits; therefore the last digit should indicate the end face type. I’ve never seen the code R before
According to AXENS’ subsidiaries and IFP’s technical documentation, taking A1A.4H as an example, the 1 in the middle represents the pressure rating, while 4 represents the corrosion allowance.
B2-3F: B carbon steel, 2 corrosion allowance of 1.5mm, 3: 300 psi (pounds), F flange A1A.4H A carbon steel, 1 corrosion allowance of 0.75mm; A indicates special requirements
