What is the purpose of this valve? Does anyone know?
Vacuum valve; it’s shown in the picture above, but I’ve really never seen one
The cargo tank vent valves on hazardous chemicals ships operate on the same principle as those on storage tanks. It means the intake and exhaust pressures are higher.
