In the standard GB/T13927-2008, there is the following description. How should this be understood? Additionally, is the maximum operating pressure equal to the design pressure?
The maximum operating pressure should be the nominal pressure; the strength pressure test is conducted at 1.5 times the nominal pressure, while the sealing test is carried out at 1.1 times the nominal pressure.
As mentioned above, the maximum operating pressure should be the nominal pressure; I’ve also learned this, and it’s very useful knowledge

1: The maximum operating pressure is the highest pressure value that occurs locally or overall during the operation of the pipeline; it is not the same concept as the design pressure. 2: The design pressure is the pressure taken into account during the design of the valve, and it must be equal to or greater than the pressure in the pipeline. 3: Liquid test, which is actually a pressure-sealing test for valves, GB/T13927-2008
The maximum operating pressure here refers to the nominal pressure specified in the design; the strength test is carried out at 1.5 times this value, while the sealing test is conducted at 1.1 times it. Different types of valves require different values for these parameters
