I’ve just been transferred to the security department and know nothing about this. I would like to ask: the known values are a pipeline pressure of 15 MPa, material of 20# steel, and outer diameters of Φ114 and Φ76; it is used for steam injection in oil fields. Other data can be ignored if they’re not important. Based on this information, can it be calculated what the minimum wall thickness of the pipe must be to ensure safety? I would be extremely grateful if the experts could help calculate the result; I’m a complete novice when it comes to mathematical formulas. Also, please let me know according to the standards, how many more *years* of study are required,,, Thank you, experts. I saw a table in a chemical process manual; I was wondering if I could use it? Is the reference wall thickness given there the design wall thickness or the calculated wall thickness? Confused, seeking help from experts!
