There is an existing methanol pipeline that is to be laid in a trench. In accordance with GB50160-2008, Article 7.2.4. When trench laying must be used, measures should be taken to prevent the accumulation of combustible gases, liquefied hydrocarbons, and flammable liquids within the trench. Gas pipelines can use sand filling to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases, but what about flammable liquid pipelines? How is it prevented from accumulating in the ditches?
