Hello, experts. I have a question: is there any **standard** regarding the wall thickness of filter mesh? For example, what is the pressure, and what is the wall thickness of the filter screen? Our company opened two filters of the same specification but from different manufacturers, and the wall thickness of the filter screens inside them differed significantly.

If designed in accordance with GB/T 14382, the default diameter of the wire is 0.224 mm; otherwise, it can be selected from GB 5330; If designed according to SH/T 3411 or HGT 21637, different mesh sizes correspond to different wire diameters.
There are standard requirements for the wire diameter of the filter screen, as this determines its precision. However, whether the filter screen is multi-layered or single-layered depends entirely on the filtering environment, the pressure level, as well as the quality of materials used by the equipment manufacturer; it also depends on whether a cheaper option was chosen at the time of purchase. Basically, when importing the sintered mesh that you’re looking for, there aren’t many issues of this kind; it’s either 5 layers with a thickness of 1.7 mm, or 6 layers with a thickness of 3.7 mm, or else it’s a sintered mesh made of porous plates with a thickness of over 4.7 mm. For domestically produced products, it’s possible to encounter the same type of device as you mentioned, but with different filter thicknesses; some may use a single layer of filter material, or several layers stacked together
