May I ask whether L245 seamless steel pipes can be used to transport low-pressure steam at a working pressure of less than 1.6 Mpa and a working temperature of 200–250 degrees Celsius?
It can be used; the standards don’t state that it cannot be used
The standard does not explicitly prohibit its use. L245 can be considered carbon steel, or it can be considered carbon-manganese steel (depending on its composition). It can be used perfectly under the operating conditions you specified. In practical applications, for low-pressure steam and large-diameter pipes (DN500 and above), we use straight-seam welded pipes made of L245 PSL1 GB/T9711. With the same material and a smaller diameter, why can’t seamless pipes be used?
At low temperatures and pressures, ordinary carbon steel is sufficient; however, when the temperature exceeds 400 degrees, it is better to use chromium-molybdenum steel
There’s no problem at all; large-diameter steam pipes with a diameter of around 300 degrees use this material.

It is fine to use it according to the material and operating conditions, but it is precisely because there are no strict regulations in the standards that doubts arise. It always seems that the 9711 standard is primarily designed for transporting oil and natural gas, so it’s not entirely certain whether it can be applied to steam as well.
