Hello, everyone in this forum. Regarding the main pipeline for torch venting, how is a flexible design implemented? Can π-type compensators be used?
It mainly relies on π-type compensation bends; the use of expansion joints is not recommended. In any project where expansion joints are used, problems arise over time.
Could you tell me what problems might arise in the future if expansion joints are used?
Expansion joints are an option, but the material used must be high-quality (special material). The expansion joints of DN800 size in our company cost 400,000 each
If the on-site conditions permit, a U-shaped design should be preferred. If expansion joints are used, as long as the material and selection are appropriate and the manufacturer provides proper guarantees, there will be no issues with their use.
