Pneumatic diaphragm valve inlet and outlet valve settings

Dear experts, I would like to ask if there are any requirements regarding the positioning of the inlet and outlet valves on a pneumatic diaphragm valve – for example, is it necessary to leave a certain length of straight pipe section at the inlet?
If it is to be used as a control valve here, a valve assembly is required; gate valves should be used for the upstream and downstream manual valves, while globe valves should be used for the bypass valves. Don’t forget to add a drain valve between the back of the control valve and the manual valve.
Sorry, it should be a pneumatic diaphragm pump. Are there any requirements regarding the inlet and outlet valves?
