Why is the material inside the flame arrester toilet paper? This flame arrester is made up of two very thin layers stacked on top of each other; one material resembles the silver-colored paper found inside cigarette packs, while the other looks like low-quality toilet paper. Both materials break easily when torn by hand. Can such a thing really prevent fires? The outer packaging states that it is a high-temperature, high-efficiency air filter, but they all say that this is actually a flame arrester. . .
