The required flow rate is approximately 50 cubic meters per hour. Water is drawn from a tank that is 30 meters away horizontally. In the pump pit next to the tank, there is a centrifugal pump with a flow rate of 1200 cubic meters per hour and a head of 20 meters; its installation height is around -3 meters, and it is variable-frequency. The outlet pipe of the pump has a diameter of DN350. It is desired to create a DN100 branch pipe directly from this DN350 pipe in order to supply water to the consumption point. When water is used at this point, no other equipment requires water; during that period, the pump supplies water only to this DN100 branch pipe. When the pump operates at full frequency, what are the maximum flow rate and velocity in this DN100 branch pipe? Will the velocity exceed 3 m/s? If so, how can the velocity be brought within a reasonable range? I would appreciate it if the teachers could give me some guidance. Thank you.
Is it such a waste of such a valuable asset? Can a pump with a capacity of 1200 cubic feet deliver a flow rate of 50 cubic feet? How much data traffic will this consume? Moreover, pumps generally have a minimum flow rate requirement; without a return line, the pump likely won’t operate properly. It’s highly recommended to use a smaller pump instead~~~
