Dear experts, according to clause 6.1.5.2 of NB/T47014-2011: \"When an impact test is required, after the welding procedure qualification is successful, if T ≥ 6 mm, the minimum effective range applicable to the thickness of the base material of the welded part is the smaller value between the test piece thickness T and 16 mm.\"； When T＜6mm, the minimum value applicable to the thickness of the base metal of the welded joint is T/2”. Then, for a specimen with a thickness of 10 mm that passes the impact test, what is the range that this evaluation can cover? If the actual part selected for this work assessment has no impact requirements, what is the allowable range of wall thickness? Is there any relevant regulatory basis for this?
