Emergency shut-off valve on the loading/unloading pipeline, more than 10m away from the loading/unloading crane position

According to GB50160-2008 (2018 edition) 6.4.3-7, an emergency shut-off valve that is easy to operate should be installed on the loading and unloading pipelines at a distance of more than 10 m from the crane positions used for loading and unloading； As shown in the figure below, is it 10 meters in a horizontal direction, or 10 meters in a straight line distance? How do people think about it when installing?
My personal understanding is as follows: The purpose of installing a shut-off valve is to enable manual or automatic shutdown in the event of an uncontrollable situation, thereby preventing the situation from worsening. In my view, the location of this shut-off valve should be within a radius of 10 meters around the crane site, taking into account the need for easy operation. I’m not sure if my understanding is correct; it’s just for reference
Personally, I think the key is to have something that is easy to use; meet this requirement first, and then consider the distance
It should be that the straight-line distance between the two points is 10 meters.

As long as it is more than 10 meters in straight-line distance, it’s fine; it’s not necessary to be exactly at 10 meters, but the minimum distance required is 10 meters.
