Can a local pressure gauge and a remote transmission pressure gauge share the same valve?
I have seen it used in practice; however, no guidelines for that use have been found yet.
It is fine for use only in detection, but it certainly cannot be used for remote control and safety protection.
It is possible to use a shared root valve, but a separate instrument valve must be installed
Personally, I think this is not good; if one of them fails and needs to be repaired, it will inevitably affect the operation of the other.
During verification, close the root valve first, replace the instrument to be verified, and then put it back into use – wouldn’t that work?
If a fault occurs, replace the faulty instrument – is that okay?
Sure, but when it’s replaced, the other gauge won’t work either.
If remote transmission is accompanied by interlocking, it is not allowed from a safety perspective; if it is only for indication purposes, using one is barely acceptable. Just use a valve assembly – it’s a bit larger in size, but the price is acceptable.
I recently encountered such a situation: for a pressure storage tank, some experts suggested installing separate connections for remote and local pressure gauges. His basis is clause (2) of 9.2.1.3 in TSG21-2016 and the subsequent content. I believe that both remote and local pressure gauges are used to measure pressure, and their purposes should be the same. According to the \"Self-Control Special Diagram Manual\" HG/T21581-2012, it is connected in this way, and two remote transmission transmitters can be connected as well.
