For a DN50 pipe carrying 150°C steam, water is seeping from the threaded ball valve – one drop every 10 seconds. How can the leak be stopped simply and effectively without isolating the system?
It depends on the level of pressure. When the pressure is not high, it’s possible to try tightening it with a wrench; if that doesn’t work, an online welding fixture is required； Threading connections are not suitable when the pressure exceeds 10 KG, as it is very difficult to handle.
How much pressure? Can it be shut down for maintenance? If that doesn’t work, just turn to a manufacturer specializing in pressure-based leak sealing to handle it.
