The Z41Y-100I valve bodies used by our company are made of F5 material, with a medium temperature of 60 degrees. Seepage occurred during use; it took 3 days from the time the valves were installed until seepage started. Since the pipes were subjected to third-party ultrasonic testing and cold-pressure testing prior to replacement, no leakage was observed in the valve bodies. To address this issue, I need the help of all fellow practitioners on the HaiChuan path – where does the problem lie?

It’s necessary to see what is seeping out. If it’s a medium, then there is a crack in the valve; if it’s water, then it’s due to moisture in the air condensing when the valve temperature is low, and in that case there’s no problem

The leakage properties of water are different from those of liquefied gas, etc. The device shows no leakage at all during pressure testing on site, but significant internal leakage occurs once it is installed and put into use. Sometimes it is also related to the operator closing the valve, for example, out of concern that it may not be closed tightly. Striking the handwheel forcefully may cause leakage at the valve cover due to the pull exerted by the screw.
